About Zhihui

Tenor Zhihui Pang, originally from China, is in the GAC-Opera program at the University of North Texas under Dr. Carol Wilson. He earned his master’s from Indiana University, studying with Deanne Meek.

His operatic credits include Prunier (La Rondine), Liberto (L’incoronazione di Poppea), and Tamino (The Magic Flute). He has sung Don José (Carmen), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), and Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus).

A winner of the Verdi Award at the Orpheus Vocal Competition, he will sing Rodolfo (La Bohème) with the Sherman Symphony Orchestra next season.

The Nashville Bel Canto Foundation proudly offers the fully-funded Italian Opera Scenes Intensive, a scholarship-based program dedicated to cultivating the next generation of opera talent. This immersive course provides singers with the opportunity to deepen their artistry through the study of Italian operatic repertoire and Bel Canto technique.
