About Skylar

Bass Skylar Peterson is a Junior Vocal Performance major with an Italian minor at Belmont University. His opera roles include Kromov (The Merry Widow), Friar Laurent (Roméo et Juliette scenes), Geronimo (Il matrimonio segreto scenes), and Pa (The Tender Land scenes).

As a classical crossover artist, he has amassed nearly half a million streams worldwide, blending classical and contemporary styles. He collaborates with multi-platinum producer Olivier Bassil and recently performed for Princess Charlene of Monaco at Ballet Palm Beach’s Annual Gala at The Breakers.

The Nashville Bel Canto Foundation proudly offers the fully-funded Italian Opera Scenes Intensive, a scholarship-based program dedicated to cultivating the next generation of opera talent. This immersive course provides singers with the opportunity to deepen their artistry through the study of Italian operatic repertoire and Bel Canto technique.
