About Maya
Mezzo-soprano Maya McGuire, a Washington D.C. native, is an Apprentice Artist at Sarasota Opera, covering Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro) and singing in Stiffelio, Pagliacci, and Cavalleria Rusticana.
She has performed with Cincinnati Opera and Collegium Cincinnati and holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. At CCM, she sang Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), La Ciesca (Gianni Schicchi), and Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas).
A winner of the Schmidt and NSAL competitions, she also co-directed the International Women’s Day recital, raising $10,000 for charity.
